Funeral Liturgy - Thursday June 7 at 10:00 a.m.  at SAINT JUDE CHURCH.

The family regrets to announce the
sudden passing of a much loved wife, mother, sister, friend and Grandie,
Monday June 4 2007, peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 68 years.  Fran
recently lost her husband and life partner of 44 years, Danny (March 17,
2007).  Fran leaves her four children, Jay (Kari), Leslie Giroux (Andre),
Syndy Withers (Allan) and Tyler (Paula) all of Espanola.  She was always
very proud of all of her grandchildren, Shallen, Joshua, Jessica, Alexa,
Neil, Carter, Andrea, Colin and the late Travis (1992). Daughter of Dudley
and Clora Anastasia Dowdall (predeceased).Sister of Mildred Roy (Norman) of
Sudbury, Mary-Joyce Dowdall of Manitoulin Island and Dennis Dowdall (Arlene)
of Lively.  Fran was born on March 28, 1939 in Garson, Ontario.  She grew up
in Creighton where she met Danny.  She attended St. Joseph's College in
North Bay and then attended Marymount School of Nursing; graduating as a
Registered Nurse in 1961.  After Danny completed his Instrumentation Diploma
at Ryerson, they got married and moved to Montreal to begin their careers. 
Shortly after, they returned to the Sudbury area with their first-born.  
Fran worked at the St. Joseph's Hospital before she and her family moved to
Espanola in 1973.  She continued to Nurse at the Espanola General Hospital
and later pioneered a role as an Occupational Health Nurse at E. B. Eddy
Forest Products retiring in 1996.  Fran enjoyed beautiful friendships,
reading a great book and talking about her family.  She also supported Danny
with his two passions, flying his plane and maintaining their camp at Bass
Lake.  Fran will always be remembered for her unconditional love and
devotion to her family.
